Global Impact Platform Itriom has been selected as a winner in the ‘Best Sustainability and ESG Thought Leadership (Global Reach)’ category, and Itriom’s CEO, Matthew-Millard-Beer for the ‘Outstanding CEO, Pursuing Wealth For Good (Global Reach)’ category at The Wealth For Good Awards 2023.
Commenting on Itriom’s award for Best Sustainability and ESG Thought Leadership (Global Reach) Stephen Harris, ClearView Financial Media’s CEO, and publisher of Wealth For Good, said: “This year’s category winner Itriom leads the way towards Net Zero and achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’S). The winner’s platform helps unite families’ or clients’ objectives and intentions and brings it all into one focus. A very interesting submission with background information and case study”.
Harris continued in relation to the Outstanding CEO, Pursuing Wealth For Good (Global Reach) award to Itriom’s CEO, Matthew Millard-Beer: “The judges highlighted the winner’s beliefs that barriers between principals and the next generation need to be removed. By building a deeper understanding of each other’s views, better relationships worldwide can be promoted. Further, his top priority is to ensure that a family’s impact is measurable, tangible, sustainable and positive, because that forms the basis of a lasting and credible legacy”.
Each of these categories was highly contested and is subject to a rigorous process before the ultimate winner is selected by the judges. It is this process that makes WealthBriefing awards so prized amongst winners.
The Wealth For Good Awards are part of a global programme run by WealthBriefing and its sister publications WealthBriefingAsia and Family Wealth Report, encompassing all of the world’s major wealth management centres.
Participants around the world recognise that winning awards is particularly important in these challenging times as it gives clients reassurance in the solidity and sustainability of the winner’s business and operating model.
Commenting on the firm’s accolade, Itriom’s CEO, Matthew Millard-Beer, said: “We are delighted to be recognised by the WealthForGood awards. It highlights one of the key challenges we focus on, which is increasing the engagement of the Next Generation with family leadership, and their own future responsibilities. We believe that involving the Next Generation is crucial, so the Family evolves towards long term legacy. By bridging the generation gap through an intuitive platform, we promote better relationships and ensure a seamless transition of values and purpose. Our focus on addressing this challenge stems from the understanding that the Next Generation’s involvement is essential to driving sustainable change and shaping a better future”.
Millard-Beer continued: “We foresee a significant growth in ESG and sustainability investment over the next five to ten years. We see greater focus on the line of sight between action and impact; and that ESG investments will form part of a values driven portfolio. 93% of family office respondents believe ESG principles are a key consideration for investment priorities, highlighting that more private sector wealth is being directed towards sustainable investments and philanthropic causes. With the current funding gap (to achieve the UN’s SDG’S) standing at $5-7 trillion annually, engaging even a fraction of the private sector wealth transfer has the potential to make a substantial impact on international development”.
Stephen Harris, ClearView Financial Media’s CEO and publisher of Wealth For Good, was first to extend his congratulations to all winners and highly commended companies: “Every category winner and highly commended firm has been subjected to rigorous and independent judging process and is rightly proud of the success they have achieved this year. We have seen a marked increase in entrants and interest in all our global awards programmes and Wealth For Good is no exception.”
Stephan Harris also said: “these awards are so beneficial as they give organisations and individuals the opportunity to clarify their strategic thinking, have it independently validated, be recognised internally and externally and to celebrate in style with their peers. I offer my congratulations and best wishes for the future to all winners and highly commended firms – they are all worthy recipients who join the elite list of wealth management professionals who form the global elite of WealthForGood winners”.
Winners and highly commended companies were announced on the 6th July 2023.
